Job Summary:-
Manage drafting projects independently and lead team(s) of draftsmen. Perform a complete range of drafting, detailing and other related duties to produce accurate drawings as part of services provided by AEDesign (Pvt.) Ltd. Utilize assigned software* for 2D drafting or generate drawings. Proceed under general instructions from the designated supervisor regarding assigned projects, take lead in problem resolution and coordinate activities. Knowledge of drafting standards is essential. Duties include document management activities, maintaining data backups, and updating the project database.
Job Responsibilities:-
Basic understanding of Project Management concepts (scheduling jobs / estimating job times etc.)
Thorough knowledge of drafting techniques and principles to include and use of common software drafting tools and instruments combined with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
Perform Quality Checking (QC) on the Drawings/3D models generated by other team members.
Prepare or generate reports as required to document the Quality Checking Process.
Approve drawings to customer specific requirements
Maintain files and data in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Participate in all accident and incident investigations in area of responsibility.
Technical and skilled engineering drafting work in the office and production drawings for structural steel and miscellaneous metals jobs.
Calculate BOQ for estimation and production.
Prepare and revise shop drawings, details, sections, charts and similar documents as directed.
Plan, Organize, and perform complete engineering assignment such as the development of products, parts or assigned phases of product development.
Vendor Interaction in all phases of product development.
Manufacturing related experience.
Ensure product development progress is reported to company standard.
To evaluate alternative solutions to specific development problems and to perform development modifications as indicated by test and message. (product benchmarking).
Maintain compliance with visual management standards
Accepting and assuming responsibility for any other task/assignment which higher management deems fit for this position.
Required Skills:-
Qualification:-02 years diploma or DAE Mechanical.
Experience: 04 years
Computer based office tools.
CAD software : Inventor (Preferred) , SolidWorks, Pro/E and any other.
Knowledge of Manufacturing Proceses & Engineering materials.
Knowledge of local engineering companies / mechanical workshops.
Design & detailing of JIGS & FIXTURES.
Expert level Ability to lead projects from concept to final completion.
Expert level ability of creating parts and assemblies models.
Expert level ability of creating detailed machine drawings in the designated Software.
Expert level ability of creating detailed fabrication drawings in the designated Software.
Expert level ability of generating BOM as material take off for manufacturing.
Expert level utilization of mechanical concepts and practices, drafting standards, symbols, nomenclature engineering terms, proper use of materials and reference books.
Expert level ability of creating detailed production drawings for parts and assemblies from sketches and preliminary layouts in accordance with company standards
Expert level ability of incorporating drawing views, sections, and details in a clear and concise manner
Review and have the drawings revised as required and follow up to obtain needed information, be able to communicate instructions to resolve discrepancies in views, sections, dimensions, etc.
Perform administrative duties to support and help support engineering activities include document storage, distribution, and retrieval.
Expert level ability of creating from input 2D Drawings, which may be in a CAD format or 2D Images, accurate 3D models.
Expert level ability of performing conversion of 3D models/2D drawings from one CAD Software* format to the other CAD Software* format.
